ABOUT ME
Hello! My name is Kyra,
PURSUING A B.B.A. IN MARKETING AT JAMES MADISON UNIVERSITY, WITH A CONCENTRATION IN EUROPEAN BUSINESS.
Hi! I’m Kyra Dunn, a marketing student at James Madison University graduating in May 2027. As a first-generation college student, I’ve approached my college experience with a strong sense of purpose, taking advantage of opportunities that allow me to grow professionally while making a meaningful impact on my community.
On campus, I serve as a Content Strategist for Women for Madison within University Advancement, where I develop social media content, manage editorial calendars, and use engagement insights to strengthen communication with students and alumni. I'm also a Student Ambassador for the Office of Admissions, where I connect with prospective students and families while sharing my JMU experience. Additionally, I've served as Marketing Chair for the Class Ring Committee and currently served as Class Secretary for Phi Chi Theta, a professional business fraternity.
Outside of my campus involvement, I completed a marketing internship with Star in the Valley Winery, where I explored tourism marketing, consumer research, and brand positioning. During Spring 2026, I studied abroad at the University of Antwerp in Belgium, gaining firsthand exposure to international business through company visits and collaborative projects. Working with different companies and exploring organizations expanding my perspective on how businesses navigate global markets and connect with diverse audiences.
I'm especially interested in the intersection of creativity, consumer behavior, and business strategy. I love understanding what makes a brand memorable and finding ways to turn insights into meaningful connections. As I approach graduation, I'm excited to pursue opportunities in marketing, brand strategy, digital media, and business/product development that allow me to continue growing while creating work that makes an impact.
